The Worlds fastest and quickest Steam Powered Vehicle.

Designed and built by Graham Sykes. In his workshop near Bedale North Yorkshire.

The bikes design includes innovative and cutting edge design and materials bringing steam power into the 21st century.

The Force of Nature Steam Rocket Bike is Powered by 88 litres of Super Heated Water to 250 deg C and 40 Bar Pressure. Heated by Kerosine / HVO, it takes 3.5 hours to heat the water to its working temperature.

Using 2 seconds of power the Force of Nature accelerates at over 6G and has run 185.85 mph in 3.2 seconds. Giving the bike a 0-60mph time in just 0.4 seconds.

Our best times and speeds are:
  • 60 ft 0.72 seconds 98 mph
  • 330 ft 1.968 seconds 175 mph
  • 660 ft 1/8th mile 3.288 seconds 185.85 mph
  • 1320 ft ¼ mile 6.064 seconds 156 mph

This is the quickest motorcycle powered by any form of power to the 1/8th mile in the world. And one of the quickest ever recorder 0-60ft times of all time.

We are making a new pressure vessel to power the bike a further 1 second to hopefully become the quickest bike in the world over ¼ of a mile standing start.

You can see the bike run in 2025 at Melbourne Raceway near York and Santa Pod in Northampton.

See web site for dates and further details.
